The Lego Gender Gap [Link]

A brief tangent from the storm around the Diablo 3 launch…

In his blog series, social media marketer and LEGO animator David Pickett of Thinking Brickly provides an interesting perspective on the LEGO gender gap, exploring how the toy manufacturers tried to evolve their products to meet burgeoning markets of gender-exclusive toys.

Although a proud owner of several Lego Pirates ships from the 80s, I still feel like Lego lost its way making forays into the action figure/doll markets, rather than focusing on the bricks.

I look forward to the next installment to see where David takes this and what conclusions he draws.
